NATURAL HORSEMASTERSHIP - DRESSAGE AND JUMPING

Hello, from Vickie Powell.

Welcome to the

Natural Horsemastership - Dressage and Jumping website!

From this home page you can access information about the training activities that I can supply to you either by email or personally. This website describes the work that you and I can engage in together in the training of your horse.

If you are interested in contacting me about how to start working with this system of training your horse, go to the Contact Me page.  However, before doing this, check out the Training Tools page which offers important information about the preferred training equipment and working areas that will help you in the training of your horse in this work.  Then contact me and we can start to discuss any queries that you may have about the NHDJ method and its system of training. We will discuss the training steps that will need to be understood and learnt about in order to achieve the harmony and balance that this method of training offers riders and their horses.

Take the time to read the information on these pages and then feel free to contact me, either to enquire more about the NHDJ method of training, or to discuss the ongoing work that you could engage with using this system

I am happy to answer any questions that you may have about the improvement of your horse-work via this method of training

Many riders are taking advantage of a new wave of awareness that is becoming available to the horse public on a larger scale than ever before.

For many centuries, Humans have been drawn towards being involved in a working relationship with the horse.  The horse has been able to assist the human in their survival needs.  In both in the daily workings of life, and in the extreme times of danger which required Humans to defend or flee.

While earlier uses of the horse have generally ceased in contemporary times, Human interest in the horse for tasks that involve an aspect of sport and competition has increased.  At the same time, much contemporary interest has brought the 'natural' workings of the horse to a greater level of public attention.

With the Human having an innate ability to ponder upon issues, and the physical ability to investigate the workings of any area of interest, greater levels of knowledge and understanding about horses have been developing about horses for some time.

At a time when modern-day horse-sports have become increasingly popular activities for riders of horses, any improved knowledge and understanding of horses can only work to allow more of these riders to achieve a greater degree of harmony and enjoyment when working with horses.

With good training practises working to benefit all involved, the horsemastership skills and psychological understanding offered via this website work to support riders and horse-trainers involved in the sports of dressage and jumping to gain such benefits.
